About Josh

Anyone born outside of Maine is affectionately referred to as a "Flat Lander" by Real Mainers. Like most, I am a transplant. Coming to Maine as a child, I immersed myself in all the Southern Maine Lakes Region had to offer. Whether canoeing, boating, or fishing, I spent every minute I could on the lakes as a kid. I was given a Lake Guide to the area and was determined to visit each and every lake and pond at least once. With nothing but my bike this was an ambitious goal! Over the course of a few summers I did manage to make it to many of the lakes, but a ten speed (and parents) are no match for the largeness of this area and the many lakes it has to offer. Back then I never would have imagined that I would finally achieve this goal as an adult by selling homes on the very same lakes I rode my bike to and those I simply couldn't reach. Now, I there isn't a lake in this region I haven't visited. As a graduate of the University of Southern Maine I worked for several years in the Criminal Justice field before beginning my career in Real Estate. In my first summer as a Realtor I immediately began working with lake properties and, through trial by fire, I learned lake characteristics, navigated unmarked camp roads, and met many of the colorful locals who make up the area. Additionally I learned that each lake and pond truly has its own personality and for every buyer there is the perfect body of water that fits their lifestyle. For nearly 10-years I have worked as a "Lakes Agent" here in the Southern Maine Lakes Region where I live with my wife. Anyone who has worked with me in the last few years has had the privilege of meeting my partner Hunter. He is little at 10 lbs. but has a big attitude. You'll never see a tough guy run faster than when he looks up and realizes he is just a few feet from the water! I don't know if I am considered a Real Mainer yet, but like you - I might be on my way!
